Adventure Story Writing - Part 3

Happy Monday! You have almost finished. In this section, your characters are going to explore the new world that you have created for them!

KEEP GOING! THE STORIES YOU HAVE SENT ARE LOOKING AMAZING! Think how good it is going to feel when you have written a full story! 😃

FOR EXAMPLE: BLACK - original story. GREEN - Miss Robinson's new story

Remember to send them through to year3@hilltop.doncaster.sch.uk

The parts highlighted in yellow are the parts that I have changed.

STONE AGE BOY

THE SWEET SHOP GRANDPA

The next morning, Om showed me round the camp. Everyone seemed

busy and had a job to do. Over the next few days, I saw so much

I’d never seen before. Om’s people had no knives and forks, no

plastic, no metal even. Everything they had was made from wood,

stone, animal skins or bones

The next morning, Chaz gave the old man a tour around the Candy

Kingdom. All of the creatures that he saw seemed busy having

amazing adventures and fun in this magical, new world. Over the

next few days, he saw miraculous things that he had never seen

before. Chaz’s people had no vegetables, no fruit or any normal

foods! Everything they had was made from sweets, candy, chocolate

and gummies!

One afternoon we went to the river. The little ones picked berries

and nuts, but Om and I watched the men fishing. They held their

pointed spears high and stood as still as trees. Then suddenly,

swoosh! Their spears dropped down like lightning and came up again

spiking wriggling silver fish.

Late one day, they went to the chocolate truffle river. The smallest

of the creatures plucked gum drops from the lollipop trees but Chaz

and the old man watched the more experienced creatures catching

butter(scotch)flies in nets made of strawberry laces. They held their

strawberry nets high and silent in the air as they stood as still as

frozen popsicles. The suddenly, swoosh! Their nets dropped down and

were quickly filled with dozens of fluttering, toffee-coloured insects
