Day 2: To create expanded noun phrases
In order for our story to be descriptive, we need to include expanded noun phrases.
REMINDER: An expanded noun phrase (ENP) is a phrase that has a noun and at least one adjective.
Noun= Person, pace or thing
Adjective= Describes a noun
EXAMPLE:
Basic phrase = The clouds
Expanded noun phrase= The perfect, velvet clouds
TASK: Write your own expanded noun phrases about different parts of the image below. Challenge yourself by writing more than one ENP for each noun! You could use a thesaurus or Google to find ambitious adjectives!
- The house
- The sky
- The clouds
- The boy
- Any other object that may be in the sky!
