Science 

In Science, we are going to learn just how amazing plants are! Not only are plants very pretty, they also have very important jobs. Can you think of any important jobs that plants do? 

Lesson 1: Plant Hunt!
This week, we would like you to start thinking about plants by looking at them

TASK 1: Once you have found some plants, choose your favourite one and answer the questions below.

• Do you know what this plant is called? 
• What type of plant do you think it is? E.g. a moss, a tree, a flower etc.
• Do you think the plant has different parts?
• Do you think this plant has chosen to grow in this place? 
• What is the plant surrounded by? 
• What do you think this plant needs to survive

Have a look at the words below (click to enlarge). For every word, draw a picture to show that you understand what the word means. If there is a word that you haven't heard of, you could research it on the internet or ask an adult.
