28.04.20 Maths Day 23 Investigating 6 times tables

Starter

Add the next three multiplication sentences to your counting stick.

Can you cover some of them with a piece of paper and still complete your 'Chant Its'?

Today: Follow along with Miss Robinson's video 'Investigating the Six Times Tables'. You will need paper, and pen and a different coloured pencil or highlighter.

EXTRA CHALLENGE: Can you further investigate the prediction in the video by rolling a die twice to create a number then multiply that number by six?

EXAMPLE:

23 x 6 =

20 x 6 = 120

3 x 6 = 18

120 + 18 = 138

Does this answer fit our prediction?
